What Does a Testing & Tagging Inspection Look Like?

STEP ONE – INSPECTION

When you first contact us, we’ll arrange for one of our technicians to visit you onsite and conduct a comprehensive visual inspection of everything including appliances, powerpoints, plugs, sockets, electrical equipment and cords.

A thorough investigation will be completed to determine any damage found in electrical items, general safety hazards and non-compliance issues present.

STEP TWO – TESTING

At Staysafe Compliance Testing, we use the latest technological equipment known as the Portable Appliance Tester (P.A.T). This delivers superior accuracy and testing results everytime.

It also enables our technicians to detect safety hazards, polarity issues, leaks and various other electrical concerns in the home and workplace.

STEP THREE – TEST RESULTS

Once the testing stage is complete, our P.A.T will indicate either a Pass or Fail outcome, giving our technicians a clear idea of the next step.

Whether your electrical items are compliant or non-compliant, we’ll provide you with a detailed report on your existing situation and highlight suitable remedies for compliance.

STEP FOUR – TAGGING

The most important step is the final ‘Test and Tag’ approval – this usually comes in the form of a sticker attached to your electrical equipment with date, time, contact number and AS/NZS 3760 industry standard details.

We will also provide you with a recommended inspection date for the next visit. This can be done at 3, 6, 12 or every 24 months – depending on your unique requirements.
